[1429] She attended Miss Peck’s school in Philadelphia and traveled abroad, being an admirer and friend of the famous French actress, Sarah Bernhardt.  She was living in New York City for a short time after her divorce from Judge Waites Waring.  She returned to Charleston, S.C. where her health failed and lived as a invalid the last several years of her life.  She was an Episcopalian.  Her funeral service was held at Connelley Memorial Chapel.  The Pallbearers were Lawrence L. Gaillard, Jr., Harry V. Salmons, Dr. Joseph I. Waring, Charles W. Waring, Thomas R. Waring, Simons V. H. Waring, Jr.  She was laid to rest at peace in Magnolia Cemetery.
