L went to her hematologist today for a post-partum follow-up visit, to see if her neutropenia has gotten any better. We were pleased to find it had; her overall white-cell count was 2,700 (normal is 4,000 or above) and her neutrophil count was up to 1,250. Since the borderline neutrophil count for the doctor to get worried is 1,000, she’s (temporarily, at least) out of the woods. He told her to come back in six months and they’d see again how her counts were doing.
L’s also lost another two or three pounds in the last week, which makes nearly thirty that have come off since M was born, and that she only has 55 more to get back to her target weight (what she weighed when we were married, in 1984).
