Oh, just ducky

The doctor decided I have both an inner-ear infection and some sort of unspecified gut bug, for which he prescribed Cipro (his favorite broad-spectrum antibiotic; unfortunately, it’s getting less and less effective because it’s also the favorite of many meat and poultry raisers, and that is causing more and more resistant bacteria to show up), Lomotil to slow down my gut, and some manner of anti-fungal ointment for a long-standing, low-grade case of athlete’s foot and jock itch, which I suspect is caused by the inhaled steroids I use for asthma.
