TurboTax and I got most of it done last night, and this morning I got the last bits of info, finished it all up and e-filed it. Provided nothing hangs up in the filing process, I should have a $3,300 refund in my bank account in two to three weeks. Even though the State of Texas didn’t withhold anything from my unemployment benefits last year, we paid so much in mortgage interest and property taxes that the income taxes were offset.
So now the Infernal Revenue will be pleased and I get to keep my job (filing yer tax returns promptly is a condition of employment at IRS).
