I got goosed

Trying to buy a goose at The Legendary Central Market turned out to be a loser; they wanted $4.49 a pound for their fresh organic free-range geese, which is highway robbery.  At that rate, an eleven-pound goose, which is more or less normal size, would run fifty dollars!  Instead, I ran over to HEB later in the day and found frozen free-range geese for $3 a pound, so $27-and-some later, I have a nine-pound goose to cook for Thursday.
