Both the parlor lamp and the washstand set sold tonight. The lamp went for only a dollar more than I paid for it (which means I paid too much for it to begin with), but I’m pleased enough just to get my investment back out. It’s going to West Fargo, ND. The washstand set went for $36, which is a respectable profit on a $10 item. That’s going to an eBay newbie in New Town, ND. (I haven’t the least idea why my buyers are all in North Dakota this week.) I only hope I don’t have trouble with him; I’m always leery when I have to deal with a complete greenhorn.
I got the lamp broken down and packed tonight, and I fear I’m going to have to give in and buy a box for packing the washstand set. That basin is eighteen by twelve by six, and is gonna be a motherfucker to pack so it doesn’t get broken in transit.
