Taking stock

All the house smells of the thick vegetable stock I’m making up this afternoon.  The pot contains some white potatoes, carrots, celery, leeks, and a swede, along with salt and pepper to taste.  Shortly I’m going to go and finish washing the turnip greens I bought, then stem them and put them on to cook with some sowbelly. Maybe I’ll even make cornbread.

Tom Clancy takes the laptop and walks to Poland.  Fnord.

About Marchbanks

I'm an elderly tech analyst, living in Texas but not of it, a cantankerous and venerable curmudgeon. I'm yer SOB grandpa who has NO time for snot-nosed, bad-mannered twerps.
