It was probably just as well

that I didn’t have anything planned for the un-predicted sunny day today, since it made me take the opportunity to improve the shining hour and prune/lop some of my trees and shrubbery before growing season begins—and none too soon; the pecans are budding out already!  I now have itchy, blotchy arms where branches scratched at me as I worked (you wouldn’t think one scrawny rambler rose and a few hackberry saplings could be that fierce, would you?) and a busted pair of hedge shears that snapped (g@*$!!# cast iron) as I tried to trim a photinia.

Tomorrow I begin training at IRS—at six-damn-thirty in the morning, working until three.  This is ugly for someone who has to train to get ready for morning.
